Gombe State is one of the 36 states of Nigeria created on 1st October, 1996. It is situated in the centre of the North-Eastern part of the Country with 11 Local Government Areas.
The Almighty Allah has blessed Gombe State with human, material resources and three successive civilian administration that paved way to the present administration. In his effort to ensure continuous achievements of the mission and vision of the State founding fathers. This administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor is determined to do all he could to improve the lives of the people of the State.
"Our objective is to build a broad developmental consensus for our dear state, one that is built on a foundation of shared ownership and collective responsibility, in this regard we are meticulously implementing our noble 10 - year Developmental Plan as a roadmap for the transformation of the State that aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as set by the United Nation".

The Office Of State Auditor- General is empowered by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to examines the financial statements and expresses an opinion as to whether the accounts of the State Government show a true and fair view of the financial affairs of the State.
